Healthy Weight Gain Indian Thali Plan
Tell us about yourself and we'll match you to the right Indian Thali plan — built from Coach RKD's own nutrition protocols.
What a weight-gain thali changes
Struggling to gain is rarely about willingness. It is about appetite and frequency — fitting enough food into a day that does not have obvious room for it. The plan raises the number of eating occasions before it raises the size of any single meal.
Calorie density does the rest: ghee, nuts, full-fat dairy, paneer and eggs add substance without leaving you too full for the next meal. Protein stays high across the day and strength work sits alongside it, so the gain is lean mass rather than fat alone.
A sample day
- Breakfast — paratha with curd and eggs, or poha with peanuts and a banana milkshake
- Mid-morning — a handful of almonds and dates
- Lunch — three rotis, rajma or chicken curry, rice, sabzi, curd
- Evening — peanut chikki or a paneer sandwich
- Dinner — rice with dal, a protein dish, and a glass of milk before bed
The planner above builds your own version of this around your body, your goal and any health condition you report.
These meal plans are general wellness guidance, not medical advice, and not a treatment for any condition. They are designed to sit alongside the care you already receive — if you are managing diabetes, thyroid, PCOS, blood pressure or any other condition, or taking prescribed medication, please agree changes with your doctor first and never adjust prescribed treatment on your own. Individual results vary.
Frequently Asked Questions
How fast should I expect to gain?
A gradual surplus of roughly two to three kilos a month is a sensible target. Faster gain is mostly fat and usually regretted. Individual results vary.
I have no appetite in the morning. What then?
Then the plan works around it rather than against it. Intake shifts toward the times of day when you can genuinely eat, and the morning becomes something small and calorie-dense instead of a large breakfast you will skip. Forcing food at 7am is the fastest way to abandon a weight-gain plan.
Do I need protein supplements?
Usually not to begin with. Food covers most of it, and anything beyond that is a conversation for your doctor rather than a default recommendation.
Will I need to train?
Strength work is what directs the surplus toward muscle. Without it, a surplus still adds weight — just not the kind most people are asking for.
